Our Focus on Not-for-Profit Organizations
Nelligan O'Brien Payne acts as counsel for many not-for-profit and charitable organizations. Our experience representing not-for-profit and charitable organizations spans from local governments and municipalities, to various other organizations including not-for-profit housing corporations and a considerable list of not-for-profit organizations servicing the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. We endeavour to be ever sensitive to the various mandates, goals, and operating environments of these organizations. We also take into account relevant policy and business considerations.
We have provided these organizations with a wide range of advice on governance issues, risk management, interpretation and revision of by-laws, general contracts with respect to strategic alliances, partnerships and service contracts, employment issues, real estate issues, and much more.
