Our Experience

Our Real Estate and Development practice group dominates the Eastern Ontario market for Ontario real estate law expertise. The following is a summary of some recent significant matters we have undertaken.

• Represent one of Ottawa-Carleton's larger in-fill developers for acquisition, land assembly, financing, development and sale of residential and mixed use developments.
• Regularly manage commercial mortgages for large institutional lenders.
• Handle the acquisition financing for major retail land developments in Ottawa.
• Represent a large local school board for its real estate holdings and school development; acquisition and disposal of surplus property.
• Negotiate land acquisition, development and financing in relation to residential care facilities and retirement homes.
• Represent the Government of Nunavut to effect a transfer of all land holdings of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation situate in Nunavut to the Nunavut Power Corporation.
• Working to resolve title problems involving urban and rural co-tenancies and conversion of these interests to plan of subdivision and condominium titles.
